If you cant stand people sometimes using names of mass murders as nicknames, you really should be more carefull and not use internet for anything else than porn... although in some of them people sometimes use for example masks of Hitler, so be carefull.

I just connected to the server to play, and i am amazed with the fact that someone is getting butthurt because of a nickname. As i said, if you dont like seeing such things, dont use internets - noone forces you to use it. IMO a better solution is if you dont like my nickname, think about me whatever you want, and keep playing. In my opinion as said, but the choice is yours of course. Do whatever you want, if you cant stand someone using a nickname which is in your opinion stupid, than youre the one with the problem here - just cause you are the one, who seems to be trying to make others use only nicknames which you dont dislike

you used the name of a mass murderer in a fps game. it does not matter why i think you did it or why you did it (funny or a statement). what matters is what you did and that you admit of doing it, you used the name, peroid. if you can't grasp what's wrong about that and my attempts to explain it to you don't help, then i just can hope for those responsible for this server.

the server rules do explicitly prohibit racism, i assume it's narrowed down to this since common sense tells you sexism, homphobia and any other offensive behavior is a no-go. but since you as an admin lack this common sense the guys in charge here might have to think about spelling it out for you and everybody else. go check the policies of other servers or take a look at b3's default rules.

on more general terms: of course there are others who's name might be tasteless and offensive but right now we are disucssing a specific incident.

i did not draw any comparison in this thread. furthermore this is not about the body-count of insane people.

it's about somebody using the name Breivik in-game. to relativize this by bringing your own name into play is most certainly dragging this thread into a different direction.

the it's-just-a-game card doesn't work well here. of course it's a game but it being a game makes it still part of this world, people on their computers playing it. the game is not interconnected with reality when somebody decides to shoot real people but when players are interacting with each other online.

if you still insist you are using a mass murders name, who slaugthered inoccent people, well then you might take a moment re-think your name choice, change the name or ban yourself.

i still feel empty's behavior was not okay and him being an admin , who's usually supposed to set the bar on how to act on a server, makes this even worse.

i will rest my case now. i feel i have explained exhaustively how this incident should not go unnoticed.
having admins like that does make the whole clan look bad. the sad thing is, that urt is so dead community-wise, that nobody appears to give a shit.
